De Fusion 5 heeft een massief sparren bovenblad, gelamineerde mahonie achter- en zijkanten, een body met cutaway voor een groter speelbereik, side dot fret positiemarkeringen en een 'pearloid' rozet.
De C-vormige hals heeft een toets met een radius van 16 inch en zorgt voor een speelervaring die erg lijkt op die van een staalsnarige gitaar. Deze vertrouwdheid biedt een gemakkelijke overgang voor staalsnarige spelers en spelers met kleinere handen naar de wereld van de nylon snarige gitaar.
