XL Half Rounds, bedacht als het "derde type snaar", zijn een innovatieve combinatie van 'round wound' en 'flat wound' snaren. Half round snaren voor elektrische gitaren voelen zachter aan dan round wound snaren, maar een vollere toon dan snaren die vlak omwonden zijn.
Gemaakt met een koolstofstalen kern en roestvrijstalen wikkeldraad, ze zijn afgewerkt met een nauwkeurig slijpproces voor een soepel gevoel en minder vingergeluid, met een toon die vergelijkbaar is met round wound snaren.
