Preston Thompson Dreadnought modellen zoals deze zijn gebouwd om precies zo te klinken als de originele dreadnought gitaren van weleer. Deze krachtige instrumenten kunnen, indien nodig, eenvoudig het volume aan van een mandoline, viool en banjo. Verder voorzien deze gitaren vocalen van een haast volledige orchestrale backingtrack dankzij de respons in het laag. De respons in het middengebied biedt daarnaast ruimte voor al je indrukwekkende flatpicking riffs.
Deze Custom D heeft een Adirondack sparren bovenblad gecombineerd met een prachtige Madagaskar palissander body en is versierd met een ivoroid binding, tortoise slagplaat en herringbone purfling. Daarnaast springt ook de abalone 'Torch'-inleg op de kop in het oog.
Een perfecte metgezel voor zangers, maar deze gitaar zal ook flat- of fingerpickers inspireren. Inclusief een koffer met TFOA paspoort.
