Martin Custom Shop D18S 12 Fret Dreadnought Adirondack Mahogany
Ever since Martin introduced the first 12-fret Dreadnought in 1931, this instrument has earned a solid place in the guitar landscape due to its unique playing experience and distinctive sound characteristics.
The strength of the 12-fret construction lies in the deeper bass response and rounder sound with excellent sustain. The body is slightly larger compared to a regular dreadnought, but because a shorter part of the neck reaches out, the guitar still feels compact and pleasant to play.
This dreadnought comes from Martin's Custom Shop, and features 18-style elements. For example, the guitar has a mahogany body and neck, while the Adirondack spruce top projects the beautiful sound of the guitar with sufficient volume and clarity.
The slotted headstock is also a beautiful style element of the guitar, as are the dark tortoise binding and traditional Style 18 rosette and fingerboard inlays. With its beautiful sound and superb playability, this extraordinary guitar is a musical companion for life!
