De D18 Modern Deluxe is een nieuwe kijk op Martin Vintage. Deze gitaar zit vol met custom details en moderne technologie die je echt zelf moet zien, voelen en horen.
De vintage details zijn onder meer een Sitka-sparren Vintage Tone System (VTS)Â bovenblad, een zwaluwstaart halsverbinding en volledige hide-glue constructie die de gitaar een volle, volwassen Martin sound geven die al generaties lang muzikanten inspireert. De look is anders dan de rest in de productielijn van Martins tot nu toe, met Oost-Indische palissander bindingen, stijlvolle gouden frets, gouden open-gear tuners en een uniek in jaren '30 stijl, abalone Martin logo op de kop.
Enkele van de super moderne details; een titanium truss rod, Liquidmetal bridge pins met rode stippen en een composiet carbon fiber brugplaat die het volume verhoogt zonder gewicht toe te voegen. Daarnaast heeft Martin een nieuwe halsvorm ontworpen die enigszins asymmetrisch is voor maximaal comfort over de gehele toets. Deze gitaar is dus allesbehalve standaard!
