Dan Erlewine heeft aan ontzettend veel beroemde gitaren gewerkt, waarvan sommige zijn bespeeld door onder meer Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia en vele andere muzikanten. Met tientallen jaren muziekervaring op zak heeft Erlewine veel opgetreden met rock-'n-roll- en folkbands en aan honderden instrumenten gewerkt.
Dan's eerste signature gitaar, gebaseerd op zijn geliefde Kalamazoo KG-11 uit 1937, heeft een 1930's V-vormige hals, Rickard 'rear-mount' banjo-stemmechanieken, een Adirondack sparren bovenblad, een satin finish, evenals Hondurese mahonie achterkant, zijkanten en hals.
Het meest intrigerende is dat de hals zich voorbij de topkam uitstrekt voordat hij overgaat naar de kop, en de messing schroefdraad inzetstukken in de toets voor screw-down capo's van de eerste tot de zevende fret. "Het is de meest muzikale nieuwe gitaar die ik ooit heb gehad", zegt Erlewine zelf.

Dan Erlewine has worked on an awful lot of famous guitars, some of which have been strummed by the likes of Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia and many other notable musicians. With decades of music experience under his belt, Erlewine has both performed extensively with rock ‘n’ roll and folk bands and worked on hundreds of instruments.
Dan’s first signature guitar, based on his beloved 1937 Kalamazoo KG-11, features a 1930s V-shaped neck, Rickard rear-mount banjo tuning machines, an Adirondack spruce top, a satin finish, as well as Honduran mahogany back, sides, and neck.
