Karl Jürss is een Zweedse luthier met een inspirerende achtergrond. Hij leerde de basis van het Luthiers-vak aan de Academie voor Muziekinstrumenten en werd daarin begeleid door docenten zoals Tobias Lindberg, Henrik Jansson, Lars Rasmussen, David Sundberg en de inmiddels beroemde Jeffrey Yong, waar Karl stage liep.
In het begin ontstond het S1-ontwerp met de visie om een akoestische gitaar te maken waarop je comfortabel het stuk "Cliffs of Dover" van gitaarvirtuoos Eric Johnson kan spelen. Het ontwerp is sindsdien geëvolueerd tot wat het nu is, een stijlvolle staalsnarige gitaar met geweldige bespeelbaarheid en een onderscheidende klank.
De body is ongeveer zo groot als een middelgrote klassieke gitaar en heeft een diepe cutaway waardoor je gemakkelijk de hogere frets kunt bereiken.
Wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA paspoort.

His teachers were amongst others Tobias Lindberg, Henrik Jansson, Lars Rasmussen, David Sundberg and the by now famous Jeffrey Yong, where Karl did an internship.
In the beginning the S1 design came into being with the vision of making an acoustic guitar on which one could comfortably play the piece ”Cliffs of Dover” by guitar virtuoso Eric Johnson. The design has since then evolved into what it is today, a well rounded steel stringed guitar with great playability and a distinct voice.
The body is about the size of a medium classical guitar, and it features a deep cutaway allowing for play in the upper range with ease.
Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
