Lowden S35 M Fiddleback Mahogany
Lowden S35M Fiddleback mahonie is een volledig mahonie gitaar van George Lowden. De S body is, op de Wee na, de kleinste Lowden body. George heeft dit model in 1996 ontworpen, met het doel om een klein instrument te maken dat groots klinkt. Niet met dunne en oppervlakkige hoge tonen, maar hoge tonen die rond en driedimensionaal zijn. Het midden is aanwezig en het laag is erg indrukwekkend voor een gitaar met deze omvang.
George Lowden had bij het maken van dit model nog wel zijn vraagtekens. "Would the hardwood soundboards vibrate freely, would they still give a warm response?", vroeg hij zichzelf. Die vraag valt te beantwoorden met een volmondig ja! Het geluid dat uit deze S35M komt is een karakteristiek Keltisch geluid dat prachtig klinkt in verschillende stemmingen als drop D en DADGAD.Â
Deze Lowden S35M heeft een mooi helder karakter dat een goede definitie biedt en een clean laag dat een beetje dieper is en grootser wordt nadat het is goed is ingespeeld. Het mahonie bovenblad is iets stijver, maar als het zorgvuldig wordt gestemd, biedt het een fijne warmte en een geaccentueerd mid-hoog. Overige kenmerken zijn een 14 fret hals-body verbinding, bijzonder mooie rosewood brug en gouden Gotoh tuners. Wordt geleverd in een koffer.Â

The center is present and the bass is very impressive for a guitar of this size.
George Lowden still had his doubts when making this model. "Would the hardwood soundboards vibrate freely, would they still give a warm response?" He asked himself. That question can be answered with a resounding yes! The sound that comes out of this S35M is a characteristic Celtic sound that sounds beautiful in different moods such as drop D and DADGAD.
This Lowden S35M has a nice clear character that offers good definition and a clean layer that is a bit deeper and gets bigger after it has been played well. The mahogany top is slightly stiffer, but when tuned carefully, it offers fine warmth and an accentuated mid-high. Other features include a 14 fret neck-body connection, particularly beautiful rosewood bridge and gold Gotoh tuners. Comes in a hardshell case.
