De Gibson Les Paul Classic combineert het Les Paul-model in de stijl van de vroege jaren 60 met enkele functionele en beproefde modificaties.
Zoals verwacht is de LP Classic vervaardigd met een mahonie achterkant en esdoorn top in combinatie met een slanke, taps toelopende mahonie hals en gebonden palissander toets. BurstBucker 61R & 61T zebra, open-coil pickups zorgen voor klassieke Gibson-tonen uit die tijd met een beetje extra punch dankzij de open spoelen.
De bedieningseenheid is voorzien van 4 push-pull-potten die keuzes bieden voor coil tap, faseschakeling en pure bypassing voor functionele en veelzijdige sonische variëteit.
