Maybach Capitol 59 Wild Cherry Aged
In 1958 werden Chuck Berry en B. B. King plotseling gezien en gehoord met een verbluffend mooie semi-akoestische gitaar. Deze gitaren met hun holle body, gewelfd bovenblad, F-vormige klankgaten, twee cutaways en twee humbuckers produceren de warme 'houten' klank die jazz- en bluesmuzikanten vanaf het allereerste begin van hun kunst ontdekten.
Natuurlijk kan het geluidsspectrum van dit gitaarmodel niet worden beperkt tot een decennium of stijl. De gitaar is gewoon te veelzijdig en muzikanten willen te graag experimenteren. Pickup-freak Wolfgang Damm weet dit goed op te pakken, want het 'houtachtige' geluid van zijn Amber Pickups "Spirit of '59" werd bij de eerste test enthousiast door de toonfreaks van de Maybach-jury ontvangen met een "all thumbs up"!
