PRS Silver Sky Maple Midnight Rose

The PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy Award winning musician John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. The Silver Sky has been in the making for over two years now, and is a "vintage-inspired" instrument that feels familiar but at the same time through and through PRS.

The most striking features are the shape of the headstock, machine heads, neck/fingerboard, bridge and the pickups. The headstock is based on the classic PRS shape but inverted, this is done to make the guitar suitable for Mayer's playing style.

The tuners are traditional and vintage-style, but with the Locking design of PRS. The neck shape is based on those 1963/1964 instruments and the fingerboard has a 7.25 "radius. Like the tuners, the steel tremolo has the classic design and adds a PRS tremolo arm and" Gen III knife-edge "screws. to it.

The 635JM single-coil pickups sound round and full with a musical high end that is never shrill or piercing.
