PRS Tremonti Signature Grey Black
Terwijl Creed op tournee was voor van hun eerste plaat, My Own Prison, werd Mark benaderd door PRS met de vraag of hij een van hun gitaren wilde proberen.
"Ik ging direct in op het idee om op een van de gitaren van PRS te spelen. PRS was een van die gitaren die ik op de middelbare school of universiteit nooit kon betalen en die ik altijd al had willen spelen." PRS stuurde Mark een McCarty-model waar hij op slag verliefd op werd. Hij speelde een tijdje exclusief op die gitaar, maar wilde uiteindelijk een gitaar die meer bij zijn speelstijl paste.
Mark Tremonti begon samen te werken met PRS aan zijn droomgitaar die al snel het Mark Tremonti Signature Model zou worden. Hij had pickups nodig die wat agressiever waren en een aanvulling konden zijn op zijn ritmespel dat veel handpalm muting bevat. De hals van de gitaar moest passen bij zijn stijl, beïnvloed door thrash metal, shred en traditionele blues. PRS voldeed aan deze behoeften met de Pattern Thin neck carve.
While Creed was touring their first record, My Own Prison, Mark was approached by PRS asking if he would like to try one of their guitars.
"I jumped right into the idea of playing one of PRS's guitars. PRS was one of those guitars that I could never afford in high school or college and that I always wanted to play." PRS sent Mark a McCarty model that he instantly fell in love with. He played that guitar exclusively for a while, but eventually wanted a guitar that suited his playing style more.
