Stratocasters from the 1970s are known (besides the three-point neck mount of course) for their weight, which is generally on the heavy side. And that is confirmed by this 1979 Strat with a weight of 4.32 kg.
The black finish and pickguard are reminiscent of David Gilmour's Strat, while the 'bullet' truss rod and large headstock are typical '70s features. What is also striking is the light color of the 7.25" radius fingerboard. It has had a refret and was then treated with Tru Oil. Â The C-shaped neck feels sturdy and offers excellent playability.
The 'hardtail' Strats are known for their resonance, and together with the three single coil pickups you can go in many directions with this guitar! The neck and middle pickups have flush poles, while the replaced bridge pickup has staggered poles.
Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
