Stringjoy Orbiters gecoate elektrische gitaarsnaren zijn een complete heruitvinding van gecoate snaren. Stringjoy's Orbiters zijn gemaakt door een klein team in Nashville, TN, VS, en zijn niet gecoat over de afgewerkte snaar. In plaats daarvan gebruiken ze een individueel voorgecoate vernikkelde stalen wikkeldraad met een speciale emaillaag over een ongecoate koolstofrijke stalen kerndraad om je het beste van twee werelden te geven.
Terwijl traditionele gecoate snaren een dikke coating hebben die de manier verandert waarop de gitaarsnaar aanvoelt en leidt tot een onnatuurlijk, gedempt geluid, resulteert de hybride aanpak van Stringjoy in de lange levensduur die doorgaans wordt geassocieerd met gecoate snaren, maar creëert een zeer heldere snaar die erg 'ongecoat' klinkt.
