Lowden S35W 2022

De Lowden S35W is een gitaar met een klankkast volledig uit walnotenhout. De gitaar treedt hiermee in de voetsporen van de S35M die volledig uit mahonie bestaat. De Lowden 35 serie is de definitie van ingetogen schoonheid, het subtiele gebruik van mooie klankhoutsoorten en de aandacht voor detail zijn indrukwekkend, evenals het geluid.

Het gebruik van walnotenhout was voor George Lowden een eenvoudige keuze. Voor het eerste S-model dat hij ooit maakte koos hij voor walnoot voor de achter- en zijkanten, en het leek hem een goed idee om dit concept al die jaren later nog eens opnieuw onder de loep te nemen. Walnoot is een klankhout dat bekend staat om zijn heldere karakter met goede separatie van de noten. Door Lowden's zorgvuldige productiemethoden biedt het hout ook warmte en voldoende punch aan het geluid.

Lowden's S body is op de Wee na, de kleinste Lowden body. George heeft dit model in 1996 ontworpen, met het doel om een klein instrument te maken dat groots klinkt. Niet met dunne en oppervlakkige hoge tonen, maar hoge tonen die rond en driedimensionaal zijn. Voor de S35W is onder andere gekozen voor een gevlamde esdoorn binding en een abalone rozet, terwijl de voor Lowden typische vijfdelige hals wordt gesierd door subtiele maar fraaie houten details.

Deze Lowden S35W uit 2022 heeft slechts minimale speelsporen op de slagplaat en een zeer kleine ding aan de onderzijde van zijn klankkast naast de binding. Desalniettemin is is deze Lowden nog bijzonder schoon, hij verkeert in excellente conditie en komt zelfs in de buurt van Near Mint! De gitaar wordt geleverd in een koffer met TFOA-paspoort.

The Lowden S35W is a guitar with a soundbox entirely made of walnut wood. The guitar follows in the footsteps of the S35M, which is made entirely of mahogany. The Lowden 35 series is the epitome of understated beauty; the subtle use of beautiful tonewoods and attention to detail are impressive, as is the sound.

The use of walnut wood was a simple choice for George Lowden. For the first S model he ever made, he chose walnut for the back and sides, and it seemed like a good idea to revisit this concept all those years later. Walnut is a tonewood known for its clear character with good note separation. Through Lowden's careful production methods, the wood also offers warmth and sufficient punch to the sound.

Lowden's S body, except for the Wee, is the smallest Lowden body. George designed this model in 1996 with the aim of creating a small instrument that sounds big. Not with thin and superficial high tones, but high tones that are round and three-dimensional. For the S35W, features include flamed maple binding and an abalone rosette, while the typical five-piece Lowden neck is adorned with subtle but beautiful wooden details.

This Lowden S35W from 2022 has only minimal signs of play on the pickguard and a very small ding on the bottom of its soundbox next to the binding. Nevertheless, this Lowden is exceptionally clean, it is in excellent condition and even comes close to Near Mint! The guitar comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.

Die Lowden S35W ist eine Gitarre mit einem Korpus vollständig aus Walnussholz. Die Gitarre folgt damit den Fußstapfen der S35M, die vollständig aus Mahagoni besteht. Die Lowden 35 Serie ist die Definition von zurückhaltender Schönheit; der subtile Einsatz schöner Klanghölzer und die Liebe zum Detail sind beeindruckend, ebenso wie der Klang.

Die Verwendung von Walnussholz war für George Lowden eine einfache Wahl. Für das erste S-Modell, das er je gemacht hat, wählte er Walnuss für die Rückseite und die Seiten, und es schien ihm eine gute Idee zu sein, dieses Konzept all die Jahre später noch einmal zu überdenken. Walnuss ist ein Klangholz, das für seinen klaren Charakter mit guter Notentrennung bekannt ist. Durch Lowdens sorgfältige Produktionsmethoden bietet das Holz auch Wärme und ausreichend Punch für den Klang.

Lowdens S-Korpus ist, abgesehen vom Wee, der kleinste Lowden-Korpus. George entwarf dieses Modell 1996 mit dem Ziel, ein kleines Instrument zu schaffen, das groß klingt. Nicht mit dünnen und oberflächlichen Höhen, sondern mit Höhen, die rund und dreidimensional sind. Für die S35W wurden unter anderem geflammte Ahorn-Bindung und eine Abalone-Rosette gewählt, während der typische fünfteilige Lowden-Hals mit subtilen, aber schönen Holzdetails verziert ist.

Diese Lowden S35W aus dem Jahr 2022 weist nur minimale Gebrauchsspuren am Schlagbrett und einen sehr kleinen Ditscher am Boden ihres Korpus neben der Bindung auf. Trotzdem ist diese Lowden außergewöhnlich sauber, sie befindet sich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und kommt sogar nahe an Near Mint heran! Die Gitarre wird in einem Koffer mit einem TFOA-Pass geliefert.
