The Atkin Hop Picker is a beautifully built dreadnought from the acclaimed British workshop of Alister Atkin, and this striking All Black example is as bold to look at as it is characterful to play. Handmade in Canterbury, England, it pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with a mahogany body for a warm, punchy and woody voice.

Atkin has earned a formidable reputation for its vintage-inspired instruments, capturing the look, feel and tone of classic pre-war flat-tops with genuine craftsmanship. The Hop Picker is Atkin's take on the traditional dreadnought, and the all-black finish gives this one a distinctly modern, understated twist on that time-honoured recipe.

A solid Sitka spruce top with scalloped X-bracing over a mahogany body delivers a dry, focused and dynamic tone, with strong projection and a punchy midrange that is equally at home flatpicking or strumming. The mahogany neck with its comfortable C profile, 16" rosewood fingerboard and 24.9" scale makes for a fast, familiar and easy playing feel, while the Deluxe three-on-a-plate tuners round out that vintage vibe.
