Named Zuko, and completed on December 12, 2024, this guitar stands as a testament to Mees’ dedication to his craft. Reminiscent of the legendary Dion Guitars, every curve and contour of this majestic OMC body shape is a testament to Mees’ reverence for tradition and innovation. The combination of Italian spruce for the top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides is a classic choice that comes into its own here. The spruce top provides a bright, dynamic response, while the Indian rosewood adds a rich, complex tone with deep bass and sparkling highs.

Unparalleled attention to detail is evident throughout this guitar, from the stylish rosette to the ebony headstock overlay with the Chickadee logo and the high-quality Waverly tuners with ebony buttons. The mahogany neck with its pleasing C-profile and compound radius offers a very pleasant playing experience, thanks in part to the wide nut of approximately 46 mm that gives fingerstyle players that little bit of extra room. This Chickadee is a true craftsman’s creation that can easily compete with the best modern boutique guitars. The guitar comes in a Hiscox case with a TFOA passport.
