This 2013 Chris Bozung OM was custom-built for TFOA and showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of one of America’s most respected luthiers.
Favored by artists like Pete Huttlinger, Vince Gill, and Peter Rowan, Bozung’s guitars are known for their dynamic tone and vintage soul.
This 14-fret Orchestra Model is built with Old Growth quartersawn Honduran Rosewood back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top, supported by vintage-style scalloped bracing for added projection and responsiveness. It’s a remarkably versatile instrument, equally suited for strumming and fingerstyle playing.
It’s finished with a warm vintage sunburst and outfitted with elegant details like a rosewood headplate with CB inlay, bone saddle and pins, ebony fingerboard with abalone snowflake inlays, ivoroid heel cap, zipper backstrip, style-28 rosette, and a small tortoise pickguard. The modified V-profile mahogany neck feels full but comfortable and measures 45mm at the nut.
Tonally, this guitar has a punchy, dry, vintage voice reminiscent of the pre-war era—a true homage to the great OMs of the 1930s. It's in very good condition with light signs of use: angel hair playwear on the top, some buckle rash on the back, and small dings on the body and neck. Includes hardshell case.
