Dobro H33 Resonator 1988

This 1988 Dobro H33 is an American-made resonator guitar featuring an all-brass body adorned with etched Hawaiian motifs. Its biscuit bridge, dual f-holes, and relatively flat, C-shaped neck define its construction and aesthetic. The decorative engraving makes the H33 a striking instrument, while remaining true to the functional design that makes resonator guitars so iconic.

The brass body gives this Dobro a warm tone, characterized by the crisp attack, powerful projection, and rich resonance expected of a high-quality resonator guitar. This blend of volume and definition makes the instrument well-suited for genres such as blues, folk, and traditional American music.

Founded in 1929 by the Dopyera brothers, Dobro became one of the most renowned names in resonator guitar manufacturing. This H33 perfectly illustrates why the brand has been cherished for decades by guitarists seeking a distinctive sound and a unique, individual character.

The guitar shows light signs of play, including some scratches on the top and buckle wear on the back of the body. There are a few small dings along the edges of the neck and headstock, but the resonator remains in excellent condition for an instrument that is 38 years old.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
