Gibson 1937 L00 Legend Sunburst 2009

It is certainly inspiring to play the Gibson 1937 L00 Legend! After all, it is an exact replica of one of the world's most legendary acoustic guitars. Gibson produced only about 600 of these guitars in 1937, so the chance of encountering an original example in good condition is particularly small.

This meticulous reproduction is based on the original 1937 L00 of the famous guitarist Lee Roy Parnell. "I never thought it would be possible, but the new 1937 L00 is actually better than my original," says Parnell. "It is very inspiring to play it."

The stunning craftsmanship and attention to detail of the L00 reproduce the rich, remarkable woody Gibson sound that has become famous through hundreds of blues and country guitarists. The combination of an Adirondack spruce top with a mahogany body is almost unbeatable; this guitar sounds so good!

This L00 was built in 2009 and, after some maintenance, is completely ready to be played again. The nut has been replaced, as has the bridge saddle. The guitar is also equipped with a strap button on the heel, and this guitar once had a pickup that has since been removed. Furthermore, the guitar has the expected signs of wear and minor dings, but it is completely clean again after a polish. Thanks to its thick V-neck, the guitar plays wonderfully, and the clear sound is a real treat!
