With its glossy, crackle-patterned Cherry finish, this 1968 Gibson ES330 displays the unparalleled mojo a vintage instrument can exude. Wouldn't you love to take the stage with this!?

The Gibson ES330 is not the smaller or cheaper sibling of the ES335, but was intended as the replacement for the ES225T. Unlike the ES225, it features a double cutaway hollow body made of laminated maple. The mahogany neck of this long-neck version meets the body at the 19th fret and features a rosewood fingerboard with block legs. While the 330 sounds quite lively acoustically, it truly comes to life when you plug it in.

The full official model name of this ES330 already sums up the guitar briefly; the addition TDC stands for Thinline Dual pickup Cherry, distinguishing this model from the versions with a single pickup and Natural or Sunburst finish. The two P90s feature a chrome cover as introduced in 1965, giving the guitar its distinctive sound that makes it so beloved.

The mahogany neck is relatively narrow and features the small block inlay that adorned the model from 1962 onwards. On the back of the headstock, it can be seen that one of the Kluson Deluxe tuners has been replaced by a Gibson Deluxe, the version introduced in 1969. A '2' has also been added here to indicate that this is a Factory Second. These instruments had a cosmetic imperfection and were sold to Gibson employees at a reduced price.

We are dealing here with an almost completely original example; in addition to the replaced tuner, the guitar has also had a refret, but it otherwise features its original hardware and electronics. Additionally, the original pickguard with the now faded Gibson logo is present. This logo was only applied to the pickguard in 1968 and early 1969. A stunning vintage guitar in exceptionally beautiful condition!
