Gibson J45 60s Original Fixed Bridge Vintage Cherry Sunburst

Few acoustics are as instantly recognisable, or as universally loved, as the Gibson J-45. This 60s Original takes that timeless design and wraps it in a gorgeous Vintage Cherry Sunburst, with all the warmth and charm of the sixties and a modern twist under the hood that makes it just as happy on a big stage as it is on the sofa at home.

They don't call it "The Workhorse" for nothing. Since 1942 the J-45 has been Gibson's best-selling acoustic, and for good reason: it has that rich, punchy, songwriter's voice that simply makes you want to keep playing. You have heard it on countless records without even realising it, and this 60s Original captures everything that made those early examples so special.

It is built the way a great J-45 should be, with a solid spruce top and a mahogany body that give it that unmistakable balance of warmth and projection, and a slim, comfortable neck that makes long sessions a joy. And when you want to plug in, Gibson's new L.R. Baggs HiFi DNA system does something special, translating the guitar's natural voice to the stage with a realism you really have to hear to believe.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
