Gibson Les Paul P90 Mod Shop 2022

This Gibson Les Paul is a one of a kind creation from the Gibson Mod Shop, finished in a striking Metallic Brown with a grey racing stripe and loaded with a pair of P90s. Ordered to a unique specification, it is a Les Paul quite unlike any other.

The Gibson Mod Shop lets players build a Les Paul exactly to their taste, choosing everything from finish and hardware to pickups, and this example is the result of exactly that kind of personal vision. Its one off Metallic Brown finish with a grey racing stripe gives it a bold, hot rod inspired look, while the classic Les Paul recipe underneath, a mahogany body with a maple top and a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, delivers the weight, resonance and sustain the model is famous for.

Instead of humbuckers, this Les Paul runs a pair of P90 single coils, a 7.8k in the neck and a 7.9k in the bridge, wired to the traditional two volume, two tone and three way layout. P90s give a Les Paul a rawer, more open and aggressive voice than humbuckers, with bags of midrange grind and plenty of sparkle, equally at home in blues, rock and punk. A Tune O Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece, Gibson Deluxe tuners and a comfortable C neck with a 12 inch radius complete the package.

It is in excellent condition, with some light dings and scratches on the back of the body. At 4.3 kg it has that substantial Les Paul feel, and it comes with a hardshell case.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
