With the Torres77, Jellinghaus pays tribute to the founder of modern guitar making, capturing his legacy in a compact parlor guitar with a distinctive character of its own. This guitar is based on a design from the second period of Antonio de Torres, the Spanish builder who, with his fan bracing, body shape and scale length, laid the foundation for the modern classical guitar as we know it today.

The top is crafted from moon spruce, a wood that, according to traditional craftsmanship, is harvested during the waning moon to enhance stability. Thanks to the fan bracing and the solid Granadillo used for the back and sides, the Torres77 delivers a warm, rounded tone with rich sustain, exactly the qualities that have defined classical guitar building since the time of Torres.

Despite its modest parlor size, it produces a surprisingly full sound, with singing trebles and beautiful projection.
