Lowden F50 Madagascar Rosewood Alpine Spruce 2015

This F50 is equipped with a Madagascar rosewood body, a wood that comes very close to the famous Brazilian rosewood in terms of sound and appearance. The combination with an Alpine spruce top gives the instrument a tone that is as dynamic as it is captivating; responsive, warm, and rich in character.

The five-piece mahogany and rosewood neck with a 'GL Standard' shape meets the body at the 14th fret, while the ebony fingerboard continues its way across the top until it meets the soundhole with a beautiful curve. Naturally, this F50 also features Lowden's tasteful styling, such as maple binding, koa and abalone rosettes, and purfling of mahogany, maple, and rocklite. The beauty, comfortable playability, and impressive sound prove that this is the best Lowden has to offer.

The 'F' model is what you could call the Lowden Grand Auditorium model and is extremely suitable for fingerstyle, but is also very powerful and strong enough for rhythm playing. It is no surprise that the sound of this guitar is perfectly balanced from the deep bass to the crystal-clear highs.

This 2015 Lowden is still in near mint condition. The finish on the back of the neck has become somewhat shiny from playing, and the binding of the lower bout of the body has some tiny dents. The guitar is otherwise exceptionally clean and travels with a TFOA passport in a Hiscox hardshell case.
