Gibson M2M Custom Shop J45 Maple Autumnburst 2024

This Gibson J45 Standard Maple Autumnburst is a special guitar, as it is one of just five examples we had built through the M2M programme two years ago. This beautiful instrument puts a distinctive twist on the classic J45 Standard and surpasses the standard version in many respects.

While the traditional J45 Standard is known for its rich, warm tone, this Made 2 Measure J45 brings a new dimension to the iconic design. The use of maple for the body gives the guitar a refreshing clarity and added projection not found in the standard J45, which is typically built with mahogany.

Maple is known for its faster response and more direct projection, allowing every chord to ring out clearly without losing the rich bass and warm mids that the J45 is renowned for. This makes the guitar particularly versatile, ideal for fingerstyle players and singer-songwriters looking for an instrument that excels across a range of playing styles.

While the standard J45 is often seen in a classic sunburst finish, this guitar features a unique autumn-inspired shade that contrasts beautifully with the gold hardware. The M2M programme allowed us to choose every aspect of this guitar, from the tonewoods to the aesthetic details. The result is more than just another J45: it is a carefully specified instrument that meets the highest standards of both appearance and playability.

This 2024 J45 has only a few tiny play marks on the top and is otherwise barely distinguishable from a new guitar. With its beautiful looks and fantastic sound, it is also ready for the stage thanks to its LR Baggs VTC pickup.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
