Martin 028VS 2014

This guitar is part of Martin's renowned Vintage Series, which began as Martin's first coordinated effort to offer affordable regular-production models with authentic pre-war features, combined with modern post-war improvements. For many players who have become Martin owners in recent years, models like this represent the high point in recreating the look, feel and tone of the pre-war originals!

This 028VS sets itself apart from the standard with its Modified V mahogany neck, wider nut and greater string spacing at the bridge! As a 12-fret 0-model, this Martin has a surprisingly mature and focused voice. The smaller body size gives a direct response and an intimate, balanced tone, with bass that stays round and controlled. The midrange is open and clearly present, while the highs ring clear and sparkling with lovely overtones!

This Martin was built in 2014 and has picked up some signs of use over the years. There is playwear visible on the body in the form of scratches and small marks in the finish. In addition, at various points along the bindings on the sides you can see that these have been reglued, with some traces of this still visible in the finish around the bindings. The neck is also beginning to take on a light sheen, which is entirely normal for satin necks over time and with use. The guitar is in very good condition. It comes supplied with a TFOA Passport in a TKL case.
