The Martin GPC16E brings together a Grand Performance body with the depth of a 000, a cutaway for easy access to the upper frets and the rich sound of East Indian rosewood. Its spruce top with a vintage tint gives it a warm, classic look, and with L.R. Baggs Element electronics on board it moves just as easily from the practice room to the stage.
The GPC16E is part of Martin's 16 Series for 2026. By combining the Grand Performance shape with the depth of a 000, Martin has created a guitar that feels compact against your body while still sounding full, projecting and balanced. Antique white binding, a custom multi stripe rosette and mother of pearl Style 28 inlays give it an elegant, understated look.
The rosewood back and sides give the guitar a rich, complex tone with a deep low end and sparkling highs, while the scalloped X bracing lets the spruce top move freely for extra resonance and sustain. The longer 25.4" scale adds a little more string tension, which gives the notes more punch and projection, so the guitar cuts through nicely whether you are strumming or picking. The slim, comfortable neck and the cutaway make it easy to move all over the fingerboard, and Martin's precise fretwork makes every position feel effortless. It comes with a Martin softshell case.
This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
