Martin Oahu HG28 Koa Spruce B-Stock

The Martin O'ahu HG-28 is a heartfelt tribute to the Hawaiian music craze of the 1920s and early '30s—a pivotal moment in guitar history that helped shape the steel-string acoustic as we know it today.

Inspired by this golden era, Martin crafted the HG-28 to honor its roots while offering players a modern and approachable experience. Built with solid flamed Hawaiian koa back and sides and a solid spruce top, it delivers a beautifully balanced tone with warmth and clarity. Its unique body shape—a smaller 14-fret, sloped-shoulder dreadnought with the depth of a 000—offers the classic dreadnought sound in a more comfortable format.

The satin-finished short-scale neck with a modified low oval profile plays smooth and easy, whether you're in standard tuning or exploring open tunings like slack key open G. This guitar invites expressive playing, with low action and a rich, articulate voice. Vintage details like bold herringbone trim and antique white binding echo the charm of Martin's early Hawaiian-style instruments. Whether you're a fan of history, tone, or both, the Martin O'ahu HG-28 is a new classic ready to inspire.

This Martin Oahu has a mark on the edge of the front of the headstock, as well as very light signs of play on the pickguard. As a result, this guitar is classified as B-stock.
