The Super HD28 delivers powerful bass, long sustain, and exceptional projection thanks to the larger body and forward-shifted scalloped bracing. All of this is combined with the rich tone of rosewood, the classic herringbone style, and the timeless craftsmanship of Martin.

The Martin Super HD28 builds upon the legendary Style 28 Dreadnought, but gives the design an impressively larger body. With 20% more internal soundbox volume than a standard Dreadnought, this Super D produces powerful bass and exceptional projection.

A solid spruce top, combined with solid East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, ensures rich overtones and a complex sound that will continue to develop over time. The forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, as also used in the Modern Deluxe Series, contributes to a vintage-inspired sound and long sustain. Details such as the pronounced herringbone edge, antique white binding, and diamond-and-square position markers emphasize the timeless Martin look.

The Super HD28 features nickel open-gear tuning machines and a traditional dovetail neck joint. This makes this model a powerful evolution of an acoustic classic, with a larger body and extra projection for players looking for a guitar that makes itself heard clearly within a larger musical context.
