McNally S Sitka Spruce Indian Rosewood 2022

McNally guitars are the result of 13 years of development aimed at combining the Irish and American guitar-making styles in which Ciaran McNally was trained. With extensive experience gained at workshops such as Lowden and Atkin, Ciaran has undoubtedly become one of Europe's finest guitar makers!

This is the 'S' model, a guitar sized somewhere between a Parlor and an OM. Despite its small body and short scale length, this compact guitar produces impressive volume, featuring sparkling, clear highs and rich lows. While it sounds great with many playing styles, it truly excels at fingerstyle.

The Sitka spruce top is supported by non-scalloped X-bracing, while the Indian rosewood body is adorned with koa binding and carefully selected wood purfling. These same woods are echoed in the beautiful rosette, adding a touch of flair to the guitar's understated aesthetic. Ultimately, however, the guitar's natural look ensures the focus remains entirely on its magnificent sound!

Ciaran McNally's guitar-making journey began with his first instrument, crafted at his kitchen table when he was just 16. Over the years, he honed his skills through training at the Lagan Lutherie School in Belfast and the College of Furniture in London. His professional experience includes roles at renowned workshops such as George Lowden Guitars and Atkin Guitars, where he developed a distinctive approach by blending traditional techniques with modern innovation.

This 2022 McNally has seen very little play and, as a result, remains in excellent condition. There are a few very small dings on the top, and the pickguard shows light signs of playing wear. A beautiful small guitar capable of impressive performance!

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
