The story of the Axis begins with the Eddie Van Halen signature model that Music Man developed together with the guitar legend in the early 1990s. When Van Halen moved on in 1995, the design continued in production almost unchanged under the name Axis. Shortly afterwards, Music Man introduced the Axis Sport as a variation aimed at a wider range of players, featuring different bridge and pickup configurations and a simpler body design without the original’s figured maple top.

That approach is reflected in both the feel and the sound of the guitar. The basswood body and two humbuckers provide a warm, full foundation, while the powerful bridge pickup delivers plenty of output and bite when needed. Thanks to the five-way selector switch, the guitar offers a wide range of tones, from raw rock sounds to more subtle and refined textures.

Considering its age, this 2000 Music Man is still in very clean condition. It shows only light superficial play wear on the body and remains in excellent shape. Comes with a case.
