Our very own Rudi Bults, founder of TFOA, designed this guitar in collaboration with master craftsman Roman Zajicek, and the result is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional instruments to ever enter our shop. From the more than 120-year-old Alpine spruce top to the more than 60-year-old aged Brazilian rosewood body: this is a guitar you won't soon forget!

Rozawood is the project of Czech guitar craftsman Roman Zajicek, known for his exceptional attention to detail and his ability to push the boundaries of guitar building. For the 'Buddha', he collaborated with Rudi, where the design was aimed at the absolute maximum from the outset: the best materials, the most refined finish, and a coherent visual identity that allows the guitar to speak as a work of art as well. The name 'Buddha' refers to the central theme that is not only visible on the headstock but recurs throughout the entire guitar: from the yin-yang dot inlay on the fretboard to the abalone lotus flowers in the rosette and a mantra in 24-karat gold on the fretboard.

As for the finish, this OM truly leaves nothing to the imagination. The full Style 45 treatment with abalone purfling on the body and headstock gives the guitar a look rarely seen. The ebony fingerboard features a full mother-of-pearl overlay, the headstock is covered with Brazilian rosewood and mother-of-pearl, and even the heel cap features a mother-of-pearl inlay. The wenge binding of the body and neck forms a beautiful, dark counterpart to all that mother-of-pearl and abalone.

The combination of Alpine spruce over a century old and aged Brazilian rosewood produces a sound that immediately makes it clear why this type of tonewood is so coveted. The guitar has a slightly larger body than a standard OM, featuring a full, rich sound with a strikingly detailed and clear top-end, supported by a deep and defined bass. Thanks to the short scale length and comfortable neck width, the guitar plays smoothly and directly, and responds sensitively to every nuance of the touch. This is an instrument that offers plenty of room for both fingerstyle players and flatpickers.

This Rozawood has accumulated various signs of wear; wear, dings, and a few scratches can be found on the top, as well as on the body and neck. Additionally, there is a small crack in the lacquer on the volute. The guitar is in very good condition and comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity and CITES documentation.
