This Builder's Edition features solid tropical mahogany back and sides. Tropical mahogany is known for its excellent balance and articulation, enriching every note with clarity and depth. Combined with the torrefied Sitka spruce top, treated using Taylor's exclusive roasting process, this guitar offers an aged-in warmth and seasoned character. This combines the classic clarity and projection of spruce with added depth and warmth.

This model also features Taylor's V-Class bracing, contributing to its impressive volume and excellent sustain. This Taylor 517e is not equipped with a built-in pickup.

This 2019 Taylor 517e shows only minimal playwear and signs of use, in the form of tiny dents and scratches scattered across the body. The guitar comes in a hardshell case with TFOA Passport.
