With the Gold Label 510e, Taylor clearly returns to the classic American flattop tradition: a dreadnought with a deeper body, a torrefied Sitka spruce top, and a solid mahogany back and sides.

Taylor built its reputation on modern, effortlessly playable guitars, but with the Gold Label series the company deliberately embraces the craftsmanship and design traditions of the past. That heritage is reflected in the square-shouldered dreadnought body and the understated appointments, including a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge with matching bridge pins, nickel tuners, cream binding, and elegant Crest inlays.

Beneath the vintage-inspired exterior lies modern Taylor engineering, featuring a fanned variation of Andy Powers' V-Class bracing, developed as a successor to traditional X-bracing. The combination of the deeper body and this innovative bracing delivers exactly what you expect from a great dreadnought: impressive volume, outstanding projection, and a warm, full midrange, all supported by a focused fundamental and beautifully controlled overtones.

The torrefied soundboard adds a level of tonal maturity normally associated with guitars that have been played and aged for decades. Taylor's Action Control Neck with its long-tenon joint further enhances resonance and sustain. For amplified performance, the guitar is equipped with the LR Baggs VTC pickup system and comes complete with a deluxe hardshell case.
