"A limited edition guitar celebrating 45 years of Lowden Guitars!" . Limited to just 45 guitars worldwide, this collection references the L25 model that evolved in to what is known today as the O-25.
Until 1991 Lowden used the letters in their models to designate the tonewood used for the back and sides, L indicating Dalbergia Latifolia which is more commonly known as Indian rosewood. In 1991 Lowden changed this and started using model names to indicate body size and shape option.
This O25, which would have been the L25 before 1991, features many period correct details like a vintage Lowden headstock logo, "45" inlay on the heelcap and a vintage inspired interior label. Other features include solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, a solid Cedar top, figured mahogany body bindings, 5-piece GL-standard shaped mahogany/rosewood neck, ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge and headstock overlay and gold Grover tuners with beveled ebony buttons. Includes hardshell case.
