Bourgeois Martin Simpson Signature Cedar Quilted Mahogany 1997

This Bourgeois Martin Simpson model has a rather unique design and is only produced for a six year stretch from 1997 to 2003. This specimen is from the first year of production and is constructed from a lovely set of solid American quilted mahogany topped off with a solid cedar soundboard. The body shape is somewhat of a Dreadnought size where the body meets the neck at the 12 fret, not on the treble side however, because that’s where you’ll find the unusually deep florentine cutaway.

This particular model was owned by Martin Simpson and in an email he has written to a previous owner he claims that it’s a great guitar: "I wish I still had it’’. And now it could be yours.

It has been played well throughout the years and it’s in very good condition. It has some dings on the top and one small lacquer chip. Furthermore it has some light signs of use and playwear throughout, but  relatively clean for a 24 year old guitar. Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
