Fender Stratocaster Hank Marvin Custom Shop Limited 1993 Mint

This absolutely unplayed early Fender Custom Shop Hank Marvin signature Stratocaster will appeal to both player and collector. It is based on Hank Marvin’s  1959 stratocaster, alledgedly the first Fender Strat to arrive in England after the import restrictions had been lifted. This Signature Model is finished in Fiesta Red, or Flamingo Pink as called by Hank Marvin, Fender went great lenghts to replicate the authentic colour, which had not been easy because the Original 59 Model had been refinished several times. It has classic features but with modern appointments; Alder body, single ply pickguard which still has the original plastic sealing, birdseye maple neck, graphite nut, gold Spergel locking tuners, two point pivot bridge and short tremolo bar. It is equipped with two Seymour Duncan vintage staggered SSL1’s, with a Di Marzio FS-1 in the bridge, to ensure you with that iconic Hank Marvin sound. A push/pull switch is installled on the second tone control to activate the neck/bridge position.

This Signature model first appealed in 1992 is limited to 164 pieces (originally 100, this one is part of the first batch) and was solely available through the Fender distributor in the UK and this one is doubtlessly the cleanest one you can find today.
