Deze gitaar heeft een prachtige gevlamde esdoorn achterkant en zijkanten, en zoals de meeste Atkin-gitaren is hij licht verouderd met een gebakken Sitka sparren bovenblad om de klank nog opener te maken en het uiterlijk nog aantrekkelijker! Esdoorn kan een gitaar soms een wat schril geluid geven, maar met de juiste stemming en constructietechnieken heeft Atkin de juiste mix van warmte en helderheid weten te bereiken.
Het mooiste detail is zonder twijfel de gegraveerde en met de hand geschilderde ijsvogel in de slagplaat. Door de schildpadbinding en de eenvoudige rozet doet deze gitaar ook denken aan de beroemde Kalamazoo Oriole, en we kunnen alleen maar concluderen dat Atkin hier een prachtige variatie op heeft gemaakt.
Met deze LG “the Forty Seven” met zijn gebakken bovenblad en verouderde natuurlijke afwerking kun je niet fout gaan. Dit vintage-geïnspireerde instrument is echt alles wat een singer-songwriter nodig heeft. Het is geschikt voor fingerstyle, strumming en vocale begeleiding. Het geschulpte bracing-systeem haalt het beste uit deze kleinere body en geeft een basgeluid dat sterker en indrukwekkender is dan je zou verwachten van een instrument van dit formaat.

This guitar has a beautiful flamed maple back and sides, and like most Atkin guitars it is lightly aged with a baked Sitka spruce top to make the tone even more open, and the look even more attractive! Maple can sometimes give a guitar a somewhat shrill sound, but with the right voicing and construction techniques Atkin has brought out the right mix of warmth and clarity.
The most beautiful detail is without a doubt the engraved and hand-painted kingfisher in the pickguard. Due to the tortoise binding and simple rosette this guitar is also reminiscent of the famous Kalamazoo Oriole, and we can only conclude that Atkin has made a beautiful variation on this.
You can't go wrong with this LG "the Forty Seven" with it's baked top and aged natural finish. This vintage-inspired instrument is truly is all a singer songwriter needs, it handes fingerstyle, strumming and vocal accompaniment with ease. Their scalloped bracing system brings out the best in this smaller body, giving a bass tone that is strong and more commanding than you would expect from an instrument of this size.

Diese Gitarre hat einen wunderschönen geflammten Ahornboden und -zargen und ist wie die meisten Atkin-Gitarren leicht gealtert, mit einer gebackenen Sitka-Fichtendecke, um den Klang noch offener und das Aussehen noch attraktiver zu machen! Ahorn kann einer Gitarre manchmal einen etwas schrillen Klang verleihen, aber mit den richtigen Stimm- und Konstruktionstechniken hat Atkin die richtige Mischung aus Wärme und Klarheit herausgeholt.
Das schönste Detail ist zweifellos der gravierte und handbemalte Eisvogel im Schlagbrett. Durch die Schildpatt-Einfassung und die schlichte Rosette erinnert diese Gitarre auch an die berühmte Kalamazoo Oriole, und wir können nur zu dem Schluss kommen, dass Atkin hier eine wunderschöne Variation geschaffen hat.
Mit dieser LG „the Forty Seven” mit gebackener Decke und gealtertem Naturfinish kann man nichts falsch machen. Dieses Vintage-inspirierte Instrument ist wirklich alles, was ein Singer-Songwriter braucht. Es eignet sich hervorragend für Fingerstyle, Strumming und Gesangsbegleitung. Das gewölbte Verstrebungssystem holt das Beste aus diesem kleineren Korpus heraus und sorgt für einen Bassklang, der stärker und eindrucksvoller ist, als man es von einem Instrument dieser Größe erwarten würde.
