Gebouwd met period-accurate body's, halzen en hardware, eersteklas afwerkingen en minutieus gestemde, jaarspecifieke pickups, vangt elk instrument de essentie van authentiek Fender-vakmanschap en -geluid.
In 1961 had de Stratocaster een meer verfijnde esthetiek gekregen, met een 3-color Sunburst geherformuleerd met een meer levendige rode en gedurfdere zwarte rand, bekroond met een 3-laags slagplaat die de kenmerkende rondingen van de Strat accentueerde.
De American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster heeft een eersteklas elzenhouten body, een trio Pure Vintage 1961 Stratocaster-pickups en een medium "C"-vormige esdoornhals gecombineerd met een palissander toets met een 7.25" radius en reproduceert de typische toon en het gevoel van de originele exemplaren. Andere kenmerken zijn onder meer een vintage-nauwkeurige gesynchroniseerde tremolo met gebogen stalen zadels, single-line "Fender Deluxe" stemmechanieken en 3-laags slagplaat.

Featuring a premium alder body, a trio of Pure Vintage 1961 Stratocaster pickups and a medium “C”-Shaped maple neck mated with a 7.25” radius slab rosewood fingerboard, the American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster reproduces the quintessential tone and feel of the original. Other appointments include a vintage-accurate synchronized tremolo with cold rolled steel block and bent steel saddles, single-line “Fender Deluxe” tuners and 3-ply pickguard.
