Benson Germanium Preamp
Benson Preamp is een preamp pedaal en gebaseerd op het circuit van de Benson Chimera 30 watt gitaar versterker. In plaats van buizen heeft dit pedaal de beschikking over FET transistoren. Het resultaat is een ongelooflijk versterker-achtige en veelzijdige clean boost, die ook te gebruiken is als overdrivepedaal met rijke boventonen en een erg muzikale EQ.Â
Er zitten slechts vier knoppen op het pedaal waarmee je het geluid naar wens kunt inkleuren. Als boost kleurt dit pedaal je gitaarsignaal een klein beetje in het middengebied, verder lijkt het alsof je noten wat dichterbij klinken en meer uit je versterker springen. Zet de drive wat meer open en je krijgt een lekkere, heldere overdrive met een beetje compressie zonder dat deze onaangenaam gaat klinken. Zet de drive nog wat verder open en je komt zelfs in het territorium van distortion en fuzz.
