PRS Paul's Guitar Charcoal Burst
Historisch gezien is het "Pauls Guitar" model (net zoals de Modern Eagle ervoor) een verzameling van Paul Reed Smiths laatste ontdekkingen op het gebied van tone. Paul heeft voor elk aspect van dit model precies aangegeven hoe hij het wilde hebben, van houtselectie tot inleg tot de elementen.
Dit vernieuwde model belichaamt Pauls visie, niet alleen als gitaarbouwer maar ook als gitarist die een veelzijdig instrument nodig heeft. Qua configuratie is de keus van Paul gevallen op de bekende combinatie van mahonie voor de body met een gevlamde esdoorn top, Honduraans palissander toets, Nitro finish, "Brushstroke" bird positiemarkeringen en smalle elementspoelen.
Het Paul's Guitar model maakt gebruik van twee TCI humbuckers (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) in combinatie met twee mini schakelaars waarmee je elk van de elementen kan schakelen van humbucker- naar echte single coil modus.
