Fender Coronado II Dakota Red 1967

Sennheiser 906 Cab Mic

The Coronado Series was Fender's first attempt to enter the hollowbody market dominated by Gibson, Gretsch, and other builders. The Coronado was available in a few different configurations; the Coronado II featured two single-coil pickups built by DeArmond, and block inlays on a bound neck.

Unfortunately, the Coronados did not catch on sufficiently after their introduction in 1966 and remained on the market for only a few years, until Fender decided in 1972 to pull the plug on production. However, due to their unique character, these guitars are loved by various players and collectors.

Dressed in a beautiful 'Dakota Red' finish, this Coronado II is in excellent condition. The small paint chips, playwear and craquelure are to be expected for a guitar of this age. The nut has been replaced, but the guitar has excellent playability and sound.

The guitar comes with TFOA passport in a hardshell case.
