De stamboom van de Black Cat gaat helemaal terug naar de originele boetiekversterker, ontworpen en handgemaakt in Zuid-Californië. Nu is Bad Cat teruggegaan naar de tekentafel om de magie van het oorspronkelijke ontwerp vast te leggen, terwijl hij gebruik maakt van moderne technische en fabricage-ontwikkelingen om zijn mogelijkheden uit te breiden om te passen bij het meest veeleisende spel.
