De 0028 is een moderne interpratie van de klassieke 0018V. De eerste 00-8 is tot leven gekomen in 1880 en is dus een van de eerste Martin ontwerpen. Deze reimagined 0028 doet eer aan de Golden Era van Martin gitaren met het klassieke stijl 28 recept van een mahoniehouten kast gepaard met een sparren bovenblad welke ondersteunt is door scalloped bracing. Deze gitaar heeft echter een hele unieke klank die uiterst veelzijdig is. Fingerstyle klinkt uitzonderlijk goed en het lichte strumwerk kan ze ook erg goed aan door de balans van het 14-fret ontwerp.
De mahoniehouten hals bevat een modified low oval hals en een ebbenhouten toets die prachtig is voorzien van 'Diamonds and Squares' abalone inleg. De Grover open gear Butterbean stemmechanieken maken samen met de tortoise slagplaat en de aging toner deze vintage geinspireerde, moderne gitaar af.

However, this guitar has a very unique sound that is extremely versatile. Finger style sounds exceptionally good and it can handle light strumming very well due to the balance of the 14-fret design.
The mahogany neck features a modified low oval neck and an ebony fretboard that is beautifully embellished by the Diamonds and Squares Long Pattern Abalone inlay. The Grover open gear Butterbean tuners together with the tortoise pickguard and aging toner complete this vintage-inspired modern guitar.
