Lowden F50 Birthday Special African Blackwood Sinker Redwood 2021

In July 2021 George turned 70 and to celebrate this milestone, Lowden is releasing a collection of special guitars, limited to just 70 pieces worldwide.

Each guitar features custom decorative features, including a commemorative interior label, numbered and personally signed by George, unique provenance documentation, and a 'warrant'. In addition, each guitar has a custom LXX (Roman Numerals for 70) inlay on the 12th fret.

This F50 uses unique and spectacular Mastergrade African Blackwood for the back and sides and has a figured koa bevel and a cutaway. The typical recognizable piano-like Lowden sound is very well distinguishable by the unique warm, defined and rich sound palette of the African Blackwood.

This 2021 Lowden F50 Birthday Special is in excellent condition. Light playwear is visible on the pickguard, and there are a few small dings on the back of the neck. There are also some small lacquer chips on the binding of the neck. However, the guitar is very clean and comes in a hardshell case.
