Het is een eerbetoon aan Gibson's gouden eeuw van innovatie en brengt het model op een authentieke manier weer tot leven. De Les Paul Standard 50's heeft een massief mahonie body met een esdoorn top, een afgeronde 50's-stijl mahonie hals met een palissander toets en trapezium inleg.
De gitaar is uitgerust met een ABR-1 brug, de klassieke Tune-O-Matic-brug, aluminium stopbar staartstuk, vintage luxe tuners met keystone-knoppen en aged gouden tophat knoppen. De gekalibreerde Burstbucker 1 (nek) en Burstbucker 2 (brug) pickups zijn voorzien van AlNiCo II-magneten, audio-taper potentiometers en oranje drop capactiors. Inclusief koffer en case candy.
