De BB5000 is gebaseerd op de 4-snarige BB3000, en is eigenlijk dezelfde bas met één extra snaar. Het gevolg hiervan is dat de BB5000 een zeer smalle snaarafstand heeft, bijzonder comfortabel als je hiernaar op zoek bent. Het is een bas die furore maakte onder professionele bassisten door zijn uitstekende bouwkwaliteit en veelzijdige sound. De neck-through constructie waarbij de esdoorn hals doorloopt tot het einde van de body zorgt voor een uitzonderlijke sustain en directe klankrespons.
