Each month during 1994, one Centennial guitar model was produced by Gibson to commemorate their 100th anniversary. The ES355 was the guitar for August. Production was limited to 100 instruments and numbering was sequential from 1894-1994, which makes this guitar number 69. Valuable in their historical significance alone, these guitars featured jeweled appointments never before availabale on any electric guitar.
These special appointments included an 11 pt. diamond on the Gibson headstock logo, 5 pt. diamond detends on the 22K gold plated top hat knobs with 100 Year Anniversary logo, 100th Anniversary banner inlay on the fretboard and 22K gold plated anniversary Orville Gibson coin embedded on the back of the headstock.Â
Besides all this luxurious splendor, this is also simply a really cool ES355 with separate mono and stereo inputs, two humbuckers and Varitone switch. It has some usual playwear on the body but it is still in excellent condition.
Includes a hardshell case.
