Gretsch's aloude "Broadkaster" -naam siert nu de vlaggenschipgitaren van zijn center block lineup, gemaakt voor een volledig spectrumgeluid bij een hoog volume met krachtige nieuwe pickups en een 'chambered' sparren middenblok dat de resonantie van de body verbetert voor een meer organische klank en een comfortabel lichter gewicht.
De G6609TDC Players Edition Broadkaster met String-Thru Bigsby en gevlamd esdoorn is gebouwd om te presteren en heeft een prachtige body van tijgervlam esdoorn met een matching kop in een knappe Bourbon Stain-afwerking.
Twee nieuwe in de VS gemaakte Full'Tron-pickups leveren een volledig spectrum sonische bereik met een grom die anders is dan alle andere pickups, naast de klassieke Gretsch-gong, balans en schittering met een vleugje extra-mid-concentratie voor het doorvoeren van overdriven en distorted klanken op volle kracht volume.
